People analytics for executive teams, not reporting teams

A practical view of how CEOs and CHROs can turn fragmented people data into sharper workforce decisions.

Ask better executive questions

Before building dashboards, define the decisions leaders need to make about retention, capability, succession, culture, and workforce investment. A metric that cannot change a decision is a reporting artefact, not an insight.

Make signal legible

A strong people analytics layer translates surveys, HRIS data, performance context, and manager observations into a simple executive narrative. One page that a board can interrogate beats forty pages that it cannot.

Segment before you average

Company-wide attrition numbers hide the problem almost every time. Risk concentrates by role, site, tenure band, and manager. Averaging across those segments is how organisations conclude that everything is fine right up until a critical team leaves.

Hand the model over

The measure of a successful analytics engagement is whether the internal team can run the next refresh without help. Dependency is a failure mode, not a business model.
